Training Days at Cromartie

We run Ceramic Training days in-house each month for people considering opening a ceramic café, paint a pot studio or mobile studio.Each training day costs £30 per person, which is non-refundable- however all attendees may have this cost deducted from the price of their first order. Training days are designed to give you an oversight of the ceramics business to help you decide if it is right for you. We cover the following areas: 

                          

  • Pricing and business structure.
  • Marketing: advertising, leaflets, promotional events.
  • Studio location and layout.
  • Applying the colour.
  • Glazing.
  • The kiln: safety, locating the kiln, ventilation, packing, firing.
  • Problem solving: glaze, colour and firing.
