We run Ceramic Training days in-house each month for people considering opening a Ceramic Café, Paint A Pot studio or Mobile Studio.Each training day costs £30 per person, which is refundable on your first order. Training days are designed to give you an oversight of the Ceramics business to help you decide if it is right for you. We cover the following areas:

                          

  • Pricing and business structure.
  • Marketing: advertising, leaflets, promotional events.
  • Studio location and layout.
  • Applying the colour.
  • Glazing.
  • The kiln: safety, locating the kiln, ventilation, packing, firing.
  • Problem solving: glaze, colour and firing.

A buffet lunch is also provided. If you would like to attend or need further details, please call us to book a place.

Techniques and Projects

Why not try one of the wonderful ceramics techniques available for download from Gare  or Duncan- with a huge range available, there is sure to be a technique that will appeal to everyone.
