CROMARTIE EXTRAVAGANZA(Click here to see film)Cromartie wish to extend their thanks and warmest regards to everyone who came to this years Extravaganza and participated in our most successful event to date. We would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our teachers from the UK and the USA who worked so hard and with such enthusiasm to make this event a great success. We held a fantastic competition for the best finished piece which was judged by our 6 leading ceramic artists. ***First Prize Winner- Helen Rees, Blue Island Ceramics*** Runner up- David Hartshorn, Creative Cafe Runner up- Ann-Marie Winterburn, Spotty Pots Comedy Prize- Sonia Davidson, Funky Flair Studio Acrylics Prize- Val Ashley, C&V Ceramics Duncan also awarded a magnificent prize of £400 retail value of their 04 Bisque range to six lucky people. To qualify, delegates were requested to complete two seminars with our Duncan teachers at our Ceramic Extravaganza. The draw took place at the Alton Towers evening reception. Our American judges were very impressed with the high standard of design but after some deliberation they picked the winners, who left Cromartie as extremely happy people! 78 ceramic pieces were entered into the evening competition- we were able to photograph 55 of these beautiful pieces, which are now on display in our special gallery set up for this event. Our thanks to all the participants and congratulations to the winners. To view the gallery please click here A DVD of the event is also being sent to all delegates free of charge. Thank you to everyone involved and a big thank you to Duncan and Gare for their continued support.
