Bisque is produced in different factories around the world yet all of it is made to be compatible with Duncan and Gare colour and glaze so, in technical terms, it matches the expansion of the glaze.

This means that when fired correctly, the bisqueware will conform to the health and safety requirements and problems such as shivering, pinholing and crazing are virtually eliminated. Cromartie’s bisque may also be compatible with other glazes but it is the customer’s responsibility to test before buying quantity.

The quality of finish in these products leads the hobby ceramics market; the fine earthenware clay is quality controlled throughout the process and meticulously cleaned to ensure a smooth surface for beautiful end results.

Duncan and Gare’s design teams have produced many exclusive pieces that are only found in their ranges. New designs are being produced all the time so that the choice is continually widening.
